Social media exists for my benefit, I don't exist for it. And unless it adds real value to my life, it has no right to take over my time.
Once again, the past year has proven to be extraordinary. A lot has happened, not all of it good, but just like every year, I look back over the last 12 months and I’m utterly astonished at how much has changed, and how much I’ve grown.
No government ever pledged me an oath that everyone I encounter would see the world exactly as I see it.
Take yourself less seriously.
It won't be heard (or liked) by many. It is not as good as it could be. But that's OK, because I don't do it for anyone else.
Above all, let fear keep you passive, and remind yourself regularly that you can't change.
Healthy people don’t need a doctor. Sick people do. Nice guys don't need a saviour. Real guys do. Being real is so much better than being nice.
It's not what I expected, but I'm glad I'm here. I've come a long way, I've changed a lot, and I'm excited for all that's ahead.
If you’re doing it tough paying the bills in Sydney, or anywhere really, don’t lose heart. Reach out for help, and keep focussed on the things that really matter.
Burnout is not normal, it’s not healthy, and no-one is impressed. If you are feeling burned out, then it is time to take some time out of your schedule, and ask yourself some hard questions.
